BLOCKER SET, X-RAY FILM IDENTIFICATION
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers a set of shields of different radiopacities suitable for x-ray film identification.
Salient characteristics:
The set of shields shall be of different radiopacities for use with x-ray film identification labels.
The set shall consist of four blocker shields with the approximate dimensions of 1-1/4 inches be 3-1/4 inches. Shields shall be color coded for the following general uses:

Manufacturer’s instructions shall be furnished with each set.
Workmanship. The blocker set shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Set (SE). One blocker set, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producers’ own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
